Jo Sinclair is a UK-based illustrator with a background in art, fashion, and textiles. Her work is bright, bold, and quirky, often centred on humorous, character-driven depictions of animals, especially birds and unusual creatures, exploring the playful relationship between humans and the natural world. Jo begins her process with large-scale pencil drawings before refining them digitally, layering textured colour and detail.
Deeply motivated by the joy and mindfulness that drawing brings, she continues to develop her practice through courses and daily creative exercises, with the goal of becoming a full-time illustrator. She is particularly interested in children’s books, licensing, and product-based illustration such as gift wrap and cards, and hopes her work brings happiness and connection to its audience.
